Alicia Silverstone Sounds Kind Of Clueless About The Hype Surrounding Wonder Woman

Alicia Silverstone has some interesting thoughts on feminism.

Alicia Silverstone has some experience suiting up as a superhero, but even so, she’s not into the hype surrounding Wonder Woman.

The DC film starring Gal Gadot has already earned $657 million worldwide, but during a sit-down with Variety, the Clueless starlet seemed, well, clueless!

Speaking about the movie being praised for having such a powerful female lead, the actress explained:

“Before Wonder Woman├óΓé¼┬ª there have been many movies with female leads. So I get a little confused [about the conversation]. I think about, ├óΓé¼╦£But what about all those wonderful comedians who are females who have had massive hits?’ I don’t know. I just feel like, over the years, there was Mean Girls, there was Clueless, over time we have had so many movies that have been female-driven.”

In fact, Alicia doesn’t get why feminism has to be wrapped up in such an epic action:

“It has to be Wonder Woman. It has to have tons of flash, right? Sometimes it’s the quieter, more interesting things that sometimes [make a difference] because they touch someone enough.”

It sounds like the 40-year-old is referencing her own role as a single mother in the ’70s in American Woman.

But despite her not-so-warm feelings towards Wonder Woman, Alicia is in no way against female superheroes! She even sounds like she’d be down to reprise her role as Batgirl! You know, as long as the costume gets updated:

“I’d like to do it again. I think if I did it right now I’d be a much better Batgirl. Maybe we can make the boobs a little smaller, they were massive├óΓé¼┬ª maybe tone down the nipples.”

Well, there you have it! You can watch her interview (below):

Do U agree??
