More like LAME news!
Donald Trump sunk to a new low last week when he shared a GIF of himself beating up a representation of CNN in a doctored clip from his 2007 WWE cameo.
And when asked about the now-infamous meme this week, it was a verbal beatdown the president gave the news network, claiming they took the matter “too seriously!”
While on an official visit to Poland on Sunday, Trump was asked a question that started with whether he would launch military action against North Korea to a just-as-important battle — his thoughts on the CNN wrestling GIF controversy.
And you better believe POTUS struck CNN with the same smite as North Korea in his response. After warning Pyongyang of possible U.S. military action, Trump turned his attention to his stateside nemesis and said:
“As you know now, they have some pretty serious problems. They have been fake news for a long time. They’ve been covering me in a very dishonest way.”
You mean they’re painting you as unhinged reality star who puts his ego before uniting the divided country he runs? Yeah, that’s a pretty fucking honest portrayal.
When asked about it again on Thursday, Trump dismissed the controversy — which many felt promoted violence against the media — claiming that CNN was taking it “too seriously.”
And, of course, he didn’t forget to throw in another news outlet for good measure, saying:
“CNN and others ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ I mean NBC is equally as bad despite the fact that I made them a fortune with The Apprentice, but they forgot that├óΓé¼┬ª But I will say that CNN has really taken it too seriously and I think they’ve hurt themselves very, very badly.”
Very badly. It’s as almost as if they’ve kicked the shit out of themselves!
If you ask us, this whole mess once again proves the biggest joke is the one running the Oval Office.
