Jessica Biel is probably the most well-rounded actress in Hollywood.
The 7th Heaven alum made this fact abundantly clear when she discussed everything from marriage and motherhood to the U.S. political climate in her cover story for Marie Claire. Color us impressed!
What’s probably most endearing about Miz Biel’s nature is her willingness to be candid about her seemingly glamorous life. But remember, at the end of the day, the 35-year-old is just a working mom and doting wife. On how life changed for her after welcoming her son Silas Randall into the world, The Sinner star frankly stated:
“You think you’re a selfless person, and then you realize you’re not. These little people come around, and they require so much, and your schedule is really not your own, nor is it important anymore, and it’s very clear that it’s your life now revolving around this dude. I’m not that person who feels like, Oh, my whole life changes for my kid, but it does.”
Hear! Hear! Of course, many of you probably know of Jessica as she’s married to Justin Timberlake. Thankfully, the industry vet isn’t afraid to reveal why her marriage works, as she continued:
“We have similar values; we believe in loyalty, honesty. We like to have fun. We like a lot of the same things. Also, in the business, we’re all very career-oriented, and you have to be a little selfish. I understand that about my peers├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥about being focused and driven├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥and if you can find that and someone who shares the same values as you, it’s like: Score!”
Awwww. Although Jessica’s professional success has nothing to do with her relationship, but rather, it has everything to do with her scandal free time in Tinseltown. Biel explained:
“My Hollywood experience as a young person was never one of those True Hollywood stories where I was left alone to my own devices with no parental supervision. There was always somebody with me.”
And thank goodness for that! In fact, Jessica’s level headiness has made her quite the influential and politically active celeb. On the current political situation in the U.S., J.T.’s lady relayed:
“This is just where we are, and I just really, really, really want all the good work that’s been done for women and women’s rights and the environment to not get turned around.”
Preach. Be sure to catch Jessica’s full interview when hits newsstands on July 18!
