What devastating news.

On Thursday, it was revealed that Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington has committed suicide. He was only 41.

According to TMZ, the rocker was discovered at a private residence in the Palos Verdes Estates after he seemingly hanged himself. It’s said Bennington’s body was found just before 9 a.m. on July 20.

Our hearts are just breaking for Chester’s loved ones as he’s left behind six children from a few different relationships. We’re sure his widow Talinda Ann Bentley is more than destroyed by this news.

Nonetheless, the celebrated musician had his fair share of struggles in his life as he battled drug and alcohol addiction for years. Not to mention, the Arizona native previously dealt with suicidal thoughts as a result from sexual abuse he suffered as a child. Yikes.

To make matters worse, Chester was incredibly close to Chris Cornell, who also took his own life in 2017. Today (July 20) would’ve been Cornell’s 53rd birthday.

The A-lister was certainly rocked by the grunge rock god’s passing as, back in May, he took to Twitter and wrote:

Just a tragic situation all around. As always, our thoughts are with those affected by this loss.
