Rosie O’Donnell‘s estranged daughter is pregnant!
On Tuesday, the comedienne’s adopted daughter, Chelsea Alliegro, revealed via Dailymail.com that she’s expecting her first child with husband Nick Alliegro. Well, well!
However, this isn’t happy news for Rosie, as the celebuspawn plans to keep her child away from the former View host. The 20-year-old told the publication:
“It’s very exciting and I’m looking forward to it. But Rosie will not be in my child’s life ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and no, I do not feel sad about that to be honest.”
Oh man. Chelsea went on to confirm that she is currently nine weeks pregnant and due in early May 2018. She continued:
“I really don’t care if I have a boy or a girl, I’m just hoping for a healthy baby. Nick would really like a boy. But as far as I am concerned, so long as it’s healthy, that’s what matters.”
Awwwww. Unfortunately for O’Donnell, her daughter plans to only consider her estranged momma’s first wife, Kelli Carpenter, and her man’s mother as the little one’s grandmothers. Oof.
Still, this news isn’t particularly shocking. As you may recall, back in August 2015, Rosie took to Twitter to announce that a then-17-year-old Chelsea had run away from home. She was later discovered living in New Jersey with a man she met through Tinder. Just after her 18th birthday, Chelsea moved in with her birth mother in Wisconsin.
Not to mention, Alliegro and O’Donnell clearly aren’t on speaking terms, as she learned of her mom’s second wife Michelle Rounds‘ recent suicide via Kelli. On how she heard about Michelle’s passing, Chelsea told the news outlet:
“I heard about it from my mother Kelli, she texted me. She told me that Michelle had committed suicide and she wanted me to know before I found out any other way. I was shocked. It was very sad to hear about her death.”
While we’re saddened to hear that things are still strained between Rosie and Chelsea, we’re wishing Alliegro only the best as she prepares to welcome her little one into the world.
