Talk (and listen) to the hand!
On Monday, during the game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Arizona Cardinals, Jordin Sparks — who was tapped to sing The Star-Spangled Banner — had a special message for America.
During her performance, viewers saw “Prov 31: 8-9” written on her hand (above). Upon further inspection, it refers to the following verse in the Bible:
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
It appears the American Idol alum is siding with the athletes who are speaking out against police brutality and racial inequalities.
After Sparks’ appearance, Twitter went crazy with reactions. See the best ones (below):

Jordin Sparks. Brilliant move with the scripture. I hope this gets through to all of the conservative Christians who are failing to love. pic.twitter.com/CZdagWgXBq
