This is not good.
Marilyn Manson has been hospitalized after he was taken off stage on a stretcher late last night during a show in New York.
A stage prop fell on him during the show, and he laid on the stage for nearly 15 minutes as EMTs were called to wheel him off — and, obviously, abruptly end the show.
The 48-year-old musician had apparently been holding onto or climbing up a set of large prop guns on the stage during his show when they fell down on top of him, and obviously very clearly injured manson.
The incident took place while Manson was performing Sweet Dreams, about an hour into his show. Besides him being taken to the hospital on a stretcher, not much else is known about Manson’s condition.
Here’s what happened in the moment, caught on video last night (below):
One concert-goer, Yousif Al-Zaid, said of the incident:
“It happened in the middle of his song Sweet Dreams. He performed it and all of a sudden he climbed on to the two guns … At end of the song he bent over holding one of the poles [on the prop] and tipped over. Then it all went silent and you could hear a pin drop. Everyone rushed to him and there were rumours he was dead. Then they brought out a stretcher and he was taken away … It’s crazy actually ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ when he fell they closed the curtain on the stage and dimmed the lights. They then escorted everyone out.”
So, so scary.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Manson during this recovery from injury — hopefully it’s nothing TOO serious, and the hospital stay will be short.
Sad stuff to see.
