Marilyn Manson is splitting ways with his bassist Twiggy Ramirez, who has recently been accused of rape by an ex-girlfriend.
The singer announced the musician, whose real name is Jeordie White, would no longer be a part of his band in a Twitter message on Tuesday.
And while he didn’t mention the sexual assault accusations on social media, he wrote:
I have decided to part ways with Jeordie White as a member of Marilyn Manson. He will be replaced for the upcoming tour. I wish him well.

On Friday, Twiggy’s ex and former Jack Off Jill frontwoman Jessicka Addams penned a Facebook post about the alleged assault and abuse.
“I met Jeordie White when I was 18 years old. I was not experienced in healthy relationships, and up until meeting him I assumed all relationships were that women’s role was to act subservient. Unfortunately, this was all I knew, as I had grown up with an abusive father who conditioned me this way.”
The artist also went on to describe how he was physically abusive:
“He began driving my car erratically on the highway, all the while punching me the chest several times, knocking the air out of my lungs.”
And further went on to open up about being raped:
“He forced me on to the floor with his hand around my neck. I said NO. I said NO. I said it so loud enough, that Pete came rushing in from the other room to get him off of me. But I had been raped. I had been raped by somebody I thought I loved.”
Jessicka said her record label warned her not to go public for fear the band would get blacklisted.

In a statement to Pitchfork, Marilyn did address her allegations, sharing:
“I knew Jessicka and Jeordie had a romantic relationship many years ago and I considered and still consider Jessicka to be a friend. I knew nothing about these allegations until very recently and am saddened by Jessicka’s obvious distress.”
Twiggy AKA Jeordie has yet to comment.
