She really is Wonder Woman!
Gal Gadot captured hearts as the iconic super heroine in Warner Bros.‘ most successful DC film in years, becoming an instant movie star and fan fave.
Now she’s using her newfound power to fight real-life villains.
According to a report over the weekend, Gadot has put her foot down, refusing to play the powerful Princess Diana again until Brett Ratner is completely cut out of the universe.
WB publicly cut ties with the director-producer after a number of women accused him of sexual harassment and assault, but behind the scenes his company RatPac-Dune Entertainment still has a piece of the franchise.
An inside source explained to Page Six:
“Brett made a lot of money from the success of ├óΓé¼╦£Wonder Woman,’ thanks to his company having helped finance the first movie. Now Gadot is saying she won’t sign for the sequel unless Warner Bros. buys Brett out [of his financing deal] and gets rid of him.”
Does Gal have the power to oust Ratner? You better believe it! The insider said:
“She’s tough and stands by her principles. She also knows the best way to hit people like Brett Ratner is in the wallet. She also knows that Warner Bros. has to side with her on this issue as it develops. They can’t have a movie rooted in women’s empowerment being part-financed by a man ├é┬¡accused of sexual misconduct against women.”
Not only would that be a public relations nightmare, imagine if they actually lost their star!
It would kill not just any Wonder Woman sequels, but also any other DCEU film she’s a part of, like the sequel to Justice League and (according to the latest rumors) the Flash solo movie.
Seems like the ball is in WB’s court. And it’s past time for Ratner to go home!
