Harvey Weinstein is over.
There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. On Wednesday, it was reported that another sexual assault victim has come forward to name the indie movie mogul as her attacker. To make matters worse, Weinstein’s latest accuser is a legally blind, disabled woman.
This is disturbing on SO many levels. According to The Blast, Harvey allegedly sexually assaulted the unnamed woman and then abandoned her in a stairwell to be found and rescued by a janitor.
The troubling accusation has come to light thanks to a crisis manager working with the Armenta Law Firm. Apparently, the law firm was “recently approached by a legally blind, disabled actress” who claimed the disgraced producer raped her at his NYC office several years ago.
Reportedly, the actress met Harvey when she arrived at his office for an audition. Shortly after her audition for a role as a disabled person, Weinstein attacked her. Per the crisis manager, the actress “was left by Harvey Weinstein to fend for herself in a stairwell after the rape, and subsequently rescued by a building janitor.”
Understandably, the Armenta spokesperson is outraged by the allegation, as he added:
“This is a most heinous crime.”
It’s said the unnamed woman was inspired to come forward after countless others detailed their unsavory experiences with Weinstein. The actress is now represented by lawyer Cris Armenta.
The law firm is currently preparing a class action suit against both Weinstein and The Weinstein Company. Armenta has accused the later of facilitating incidents of sexual misconduct involving the cofounder.
Regardless, Harvey’s reps have stated that the Hollywood heavyweight vehemently denies all allegations of nonconsensual sex. Hmmm, we’re having a hard time buying that…
