UPDATE 4:37 P.M. EST: Ina Treciokas confirmed to us that she is still working with Kim and the Kardashian family. The only recent change is a publicity firm has been added to handle KKW Beauty and Fragrance. Welp, that was a whole lot of nothing!
It appears Kim Kardashian West has dropped two key people from her professional circle.
Apparently, KKW decided to find a new spin doctor as she’s eager to work with someone with “more political” flack. Perhaps husband Kanye West was serious about running for president in 2020??
As for Shepherd, it’s said that Stephanie and Kim “grew apart” prior to the firing. Supposedly, Stephanie did NOT take well to her new job responsibilities as COO of Kim’s company, Kardashian West Brands. One insider dished to People:
“Kim made a decision to let Stephanie go. She was a good assistant but when Stephanie wanted to transition into a larger role with Kim’s brand and businesses, it just didn’t work. Kim gave her the chance but after a short period of time it became clear that Stephanie just didn’t have the knowledge to take on a role like that. Kim made an executive decision to part ways.”
Whomp, whomp. Reportedly, Stephanie is “still friendly with the other sisters,” but she and Kim “aren’t really speaking.”
We had a feeling Shepherd was on the outs when an entire episode was dedicated to Stephanie’s growing bond with Keeks’ sister, Kourtney Kardashian. In fact, Kourt was the one who informed Kimmie that Shepherd felt “unfulfilled, job-wise.”
Steph also crossed a line when she went into the specifics about her life as Kim’s assistant for an interview with Refinery29.
It sounds like this firing was really a blessing in disguise. Go live your life, bb!
