Last week, it was reported that the action star met a 16-year-old girl on the set of his 1986 film Over the Top. The action star was accused of inviting the girl to his hotel room at the Vegas Hilton where he allegedly forced her to have oral sex with him as his bodyguard raped her.
Sly unequivocally denied these allegations through a rep, calling the story “ridiculous” and “categorically false.”
Unfortunately, denials alone don’t hold enough merit these days. But fortunately for the action star, his ex-wife has come forward to corroborate his defense.
Speaking to TMZ, Nielsen says there’s no way the Rocky star could have sexually assaulted ANYONE while filming Over the Top, because she was with him the whole time!
The Danish-Italian actress explained the two were newlyweds during the summer Stallone filmed the action flick. According to Bridg, any downtime Sly had was spent with his new bride in their hotel room. She dished:
“During the summer of 1986 we were newlyweds. I was inseparable with Sylvester when ‘Over the Top’ was being shot in Las Vegas. The story claims that at approximately 8:30 in the evening during the shoot of the movie the person claims she was in our suite at the Hilton Hotel. This incident did not occur. Most of the day, I would watch him film, then we’d have dinner and go to our room. No other person was in the room with him, but me.”
Sounds like Nielsen kept a real close watch on her then-husband.
While the two exes haven’t spoken in almost 30 years, Nielsen said it would have been “impossible” for Stallone to have committed any of the acts he was accused for, adding:
“I can say for certain that it is impossible for this incident to have occurred. It’s unbelievable that Sylvester and his family have to suffer through this over something that never happened.”
The original Daily Mail post detailed the girl being introduced to Stallone by his Over the Top costar David Mendenhall. Mendenhall also says he’s “shocked” by the allegations, telling TMZ:
“I was shocked when I read the Daily Mail article. It’s completely false that I introduced a 16-year-old female stranger to Mr. Stallone near an elevator in the Hilton, or anywhere else for that matter. The only people I introduced to Mr. Stallone were my relatives who visited me on the set.”
Vegas police have no record of the report.
What do you think, Perezious Readers — a false accusation or one big cover up?
