Police are searching for missing 17-year-old, Caitlyn Frisina, who is believed to be on the run with her high school soccer coach, Rian Rodriguez.
Rodriguez, 27, is the head boys and assistant girls soccer coach at Fort White High School in northern Florida.
The missing teen’s parents reported their daughter missing after she was suspected to voluntarily leave their home either late Saturday night or early Sunday morning through her window. Mother Scarlet Frisina described Rodriguez as a longtime family friend, and it’s suspected there “may be a relationship” between the student and the coach, according to a discovered text message.
The two are believed to be traveling in a red Mercury Sable. Police say Caitlyn withdrew $200 from an ATM on Sunday 115 miles north of home in St. Marys, Georgia.
Detective Capt. Katina Dicks said in a statement:
“We have been able to verify that the two are together. As far as any intimate relationship, we have not been able to confirm any of that.”
