Shadowhunters Star Dominic Sherwood Apologizes After Being Caught Using Gay Slur During Livestream

On Tuesday, Shadowhunters actor Dominic Sherwood issued a heartfelt apology after he got busted calling his costar a “f*g” in the middle of a Facebook livestream.

Matthew Daddario, who plays a gay man on Freeform‘s supernatural drama, was livestreaming when Dom entered the next room. Unaware Daddario was speaking to fans, the British actor playful greeted his costar from the room over, shouting: “Sup, f*g?”

Whoops. While Daddario’s frazzled on camera reaction said it all — it all being “oh, fuck” — Sherwood was quick to issue his own response hours later.

Standing next to Daddario, Sherwood apologized for his innocuous yet inexcusable language. He also shared a message of support to the LGBT community, making it clear he loves everyone who watches his show.

Is this innocent enough to forgive and forget? See what Dom had to say about the incident (below) — along with the awkward livestream.
