Jane The Virgin Star Redefines Masculinity In Amazing Ted Talk About How Men Can Be Better Allies — WATCH!

Justin Baldoni

Bless you, Justin Baldoni.

The Jane The Virgin star has emerged as an inspiring voice during the conversation of sexual harassment and the injustices women face in our culture on a daily basis.

In an effort to start a dialogue with men about redefining masculinity, the 33-year-old delivered a must-watch Ted Talk discussing how guys can be allies in the fight for equality. Further, Baldoni rejects what the world tells a man he should be.

At the TEDWomen conference in New Orleans over the weekend, the actor challenged his male followers to think about what it means to be “man enough”:

“I believe that as men, it’s time we start to see past our privilege and recognize that we are not just part of the problem, fellas, we are the problem. The glass ceiling exists because we put it there. And if we want to be a part of the solution, then words are no longer enough.”

He went on to propose:

“See if you can use the same qualities that you feel make you a man to go deeper. Your strength, your bravery, your toughness: Are you brave enough to be vulnerable? Are you strong enough to be sensitive? Are you confident enough to listen to the women in your life?”

Listen to his full plea for change (below)!

Yes.
