Al Franken Accused Of Trying To Forcibly Kiss A Former Democratic Congressional Aide — But Has Called The Allegation ‘Categorically Not True’

al franken forcible kissing allegation

Can Al Franken not keep his hands to himself??

This appears to be the case as ANOTHER woman has come forward to accuse the Minnesota senator of sexual misconduct. On Wednesday, a woman claimed that the comedian-turned-politician tried to forcibly kiss her after a taping of his radio show in 2006.

The former Democratic congressional aide, who has chosen to remain nameless, said the Saturday Night Live alum pursued her after her employer left and she stayed behind to collect belongings. Per a Politico report, the woman ducked to avoid Franken’s lips and the scandalized public figure responded with:

“It’s my right as an entertainer.”

Gross. Unsurprisingly, Franken has since called this account “preposterous” and “categorically not true.”

Specifically, the senator noted in a statement:

“This allegation is categorically not true and the idea that I would claim this as my right as an entertainer is preposterous. I look forward to fully cooperating with the ongoing ethics committee investigation.”

Allegations against Franken first started in November when broadcaster Leeann Tweeden accused the seasoned politician of kissing her without consent AND of groping her while she slept during an ’06 tour of the Middle East. Since then, multiple other women have come forward with groping accusations against Al.

While Franken has acknowledged that he has behaved badly in the past, he has disputed many of the misconduct allegations. It’ll certainly be interesting to see how this whole thing plays out. Smh.
