Kim Kardashian Explains Why She ‘Recreated’ AKA Ripped Off Other Designers’ Clothes For Her Kids Clothing Line!

Kim Kardashian doesn't want any backlash!

Yet another Kardashian has been accused of ripping off someone else’s designs, but Kim Kardashian West says she has a reason for it!

In case you didn’t see, the reality TV star unveiled two new outfits for her kids clothing line Kids Supply this week, which were blatantly “recreated” from looks in Saint West and North West‘s own closet.

A silver Vetements dress worn by Kim’s daughter and a black Comme des Gar├â┬ºons bomber worn by her son were chosen to be mass produced and up for sale on Kimmy’s site, leading Instagram account @diet_prada and countless commenters to call out the star!

But Kim responded to the backlash by sharing 100% of the profits will be donated to the Children’s Hospital LA, so at least there’s that??

Hopefully Kim got permission from designers Rei Kawakubo and Demna Gvasalia because it doesn’t really seem fair for the clothes to have a Kids Supply label on them if they were actually plagiarized.

Still, her rep sent out the following statement on the copy cats:

“The idea behind Kids Supply is to give people the opportunity to purchase things that would never be available for children otherwise. We decided to release the Demna dress after making one on our own for North because it got such a great reaction and an overflow of people wanting it for their own children. We named it the Demna dress to pay homage to him as it was one of Kim and North’s favorite mommy and me moments. The Rei jacket was a mixture of some our favourite souvenir jacket art. We have been collecting for years and have an archive of them. We named it the Rei Jacket out of the utmost respect for her. 100% of the proceeds from both pieces will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.”

At least Vetements didn’t seem bothered by it, as they revealed Kim K. and North are featured in their new ads:

Do you think it’s okay for someone to plagiarize if it’s for charity?
