Fans were pouting at the 2017 SBS Gayo Daejun after K-Pop rapper Heize collapsed onstage during her performance.
The 26-year-old was rushed to the hospital after fainting at the South Korea awards show on Monday and is expected to undergo surgery.
A rep for the performer told Metro:
“It seems that Heize’s extremely busy schedule may have taken a toll on her health. Based on her diagnosis at the hospital, it has been decided that she will undergo surgery.”
Heize had been battling a sore throat prior to the show, but still agreed to perform at the annual music program despite being diagnosed with pharyngitis.
It’s unclear whether the Round and Round singer’s collapse will be included in the broadcast on Tuesday, but reps made it clear fans won’t be able to see Heize anytime in the immediate future. The spokesperson added:
“For now, her progress must be observed, and it appears that she will be unable to move forward with her plans and scheduled activities for the immediate future.”
Yikes. Wishing the singer a speedy recovery and healthy 2018!
