In a new interview with People, the reality star shared the secret to maintaining her extravagant weight loss — and it’s quite questionable, tbh: sleep in so you miss all your meals!
For those who missed it, Honey Boo Boo‘s mama dropped 300 lbs last year after spending over $70,000 to have gastric sleeve surgery, breast augmentation, and skin removal surgery.
But to stay at slim size 4, the 38-year-old had to make some big lifestyle changes. She explained:
“It’s all about portion control for me. It’s not easy to eat like you’re ├óΓé¼╦£supposed to’ and hit the gym all the time, but I’m just trying to maintain it the best I can.”
Sure, she tries to make better eating choices and work out whenever she can — but the real trick up MJ’s skinny sleeve is sleeping in until 1 p.m. so she skips breakfast. Brilliant!
On a typical day, the Mama June: From Not to Hot star will graze on snacks like grapes and cheese, and then will make a healthy meal for dinner like “baked chicken and quinoa,” or her go-to- dish, “baked pork chops, corn and beans.”
The reality star isn’t a stranger to sweets, either. She admitted:
“If I’m craving something sweet, Little Debbie jelly cakes are my favorite cheat snack.”
We guess she sleeps in until 3 p.m. those days…
Mama revealed she still fluctuates with these unconventional dieting tactics, but stresses the most she’s gained back is “five pounds.”
While she no longer has a “turkey neck” and “bat wings,” the mother-of-four’s body still isn’t perfect — though she’s not complaining about it:
“My legs are still a little bit fat and I have a jiggle-o and some cottage cheese, but I feel like I got what I wanted├óΓé¼┬ª when I look in the mirror, I’m happy.”
