Tiffany Haddish never ceases to be hilarious!
The Girls Trip actress had critics in stitches on Wednesday when she gave THE best speech after winning Best Supporting Actress at the New York Film Critics Awards.
Accepting the award with a cocktail in hand — her signature “Tiffaniciti-tini” — the 38-year-old gave a long, hilarious speech in which she thanked God, the critics, and her parents for putting “their two uglies together.”
Tiff also went on to explain how she got the role in Girls Trip, revealing that crew members she had worked with on Keanu sent her the script and told her she needed to get an audition. She recalled arguing with her agent:
“My agent was like ├óΓé¼╦£Ah, they only want to see names.’ You tell them I’ve had a name since 1979.”
Ha! Well, she’s clearly a name now!
As she went on, Tiff continued to thank friends, give inspiring advice, and share a particularly dark scene from Girls Trip that was cut because producers were worried would it get them sued. (A vengeance plan so vicious, the creators worried that women would try it out IRL!)
