‘The Time Is Up!’: Oprah Winfrey Makes History Accepting The Cecil B. DeMille Award At The 2018 Golden Globes With An EPIC #MeToo Speech!

Oprah Winfrey has made history once again at the 2018 Golden Globes!

The A Wrinkle In Time star is the first African American woman in history to be presented with the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

First up, Reese Witherspoon introduced the icon, describing her truly impressive body of work! Her “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment” include excellent acting in movies like The Color Purple, fabulous interviews, and (apparently) amazing hugs! LOLz!

Then Oprah herself took the stage and described how fellow DeMille winner Sidney Poitier‘s Oscars win was one of the most important moments of her youth.

She then moved on to talking about the biggest story of the past year and of the night, the #MeToo movement, recounting the moving story of 1944 rape victim Recy Taylor who refused to stay quiet. She got the whole crowd on their feet like only THE Oprah can.

Watch her epic speech (above)!
