Sucks to be Steve Bannon!

On Tuesday, Breitbart announced Donald Trump‘s former White House Chief Strategist is no longer chairman of the far-right publication.

The controversial media executive said in a statement:

“I’m proud of what the Breitbart team has accomplished in so short a period of time in building out a world-class news platform.”

Breitbart CEO Larry Solov commented:

“Steve is a valued part of our legacy, and we will always be grateful for his contributions, and what he has helped us to accomplish.”

As we reported, in Michael Wolff‘s explosive book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, Bannon called the meeting between Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort, and Russian agents “treasonous.”

According to the New York Times, the conservative political figure was forced to step down by billionaire Breitbart investor Rebekah Mercer.

He has served as Executive Chairman since 2012.
