You can take the girl out of Hollywood, but you can’t take the Hollywood out of the girl!
As we previously reported, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were greeted by countless adoring fans on Thursday as they stopped by Cardiff Castle for an official visit. While the Suits actress has taken to her new royal duties swimmingly, it seems there are a few protocols that have yet to sink in.
Case in point, during their appearance at the Welsh castle, a young girl asked for Miz Markle’s autograph — and the industry vet obliged. Typically, the Windsors refuse to give autographs or take selfies. They normally issue a polite:
“No, I can’t.”
However, Meghan was photographed signing one youth’s signature book and took a selfie with another onlooker. We doubt Queen Elizabeth II will be thrilled to learn this.
Especially as it was reportedly said she learned about the latter rule earlier in December!
Still, we can’t blame the 36-year-old for engaging with her fans, as it’s what she’s done for so long as a starlet. Not to mention, she pretty much made 10-year-old Caitlin Clark‘s day. Per the youngster, Meghan took her pen and paper to write:
She also added a heart and a smiley face! Awwwwww.
And it seems the kiddo didn’t mind that the princess-in-training misspelled her name, as she told People:
“My heart is still racing. I’ve never got a royal autograph before. This is going to make everyone jealous.”
You are correct there, young lady!! Meghan also chatted with fellow American Haley Johnston who chatted with the brunette stunner about what it’s like marrying a Brit.
The ex patriot spilled:
“I told her I’m married to a British guy, just like she is going to be, and if she wants any tips about living here, I could give here some. She thought it was great. She is so welcoming. She just seemed so easy with the crowd.”
Sounds like that Markle sparkle has already won over the British people. *Snaps*
