Amber Portwood‘s latest pregnancy is no accident!
Standing with her new boyfriend Andrew Glennon, Portwood admitted to Dia, an executive producer on the show, that she had not been taking birth control when the baby was conceived.
With Glennon being a rather new love interest for Portwood, the exec-producer couldn’t help but wonder how long the couple had been together before they intentionally reproduced.
When asked how long they’ve been dating, Portwood said:
“Almost three months.”
So, still in the first trimester then. Got it.
After Dia commented on how “speedy” their relationship was, the momma-of-one, who shares 8-year-old daughter Leah with ex-boyfriend Gary Shirley, replied:
“Well, you know I can’t do anything right.”
Now, that’s just not true — she seems to have the whole pregnancy thing down pat!
While Glennon is “slightly terrified” about his impending fatherhood, he admits that the idea of raising a child with Portwood “feels so right.” Speaking separately with a different crew member, he explained:
“I never wanted a relationship, never saw it coming. When we met [on Marriage Boot Camp], we spoke once or twice, it was so casual. I think it was gravitational because there was no effort, it just happened├óΓé¼┬ª Don’t get me wrong, on the inside I’m slightly terrified. At the same time, I have to accept it because I know that it feels so right.”
Portwood, for the record, is also “freaking out a little bit” about the new addition to her family. This not being her first rodeo, the 27-year-old admitted “there are many ways to mess up” caring for a human life.
But with Glennon by her side, the MTV star is ready for anything. Portwood revealed she even stopped taking her medications for her Borderline Personality and Bipolar Disorder, which prohibited her from having any more children, because of her new beau.
Speaking to producers on Monday’s episode, Portwood said she was “completely off [her] meds,” adding that she stopped taking them “about a month ago because I didn’t need them. [Andrew is] a very uplifting person, he’s positive.”
