Lupita Nyong’o‘s bravery to share her #MeToo story inspired the masses.
When asked why she so vulnerably decided to write an opinion piece in The New York Times about her encounters with Harvey Weinstein, the 34-year-old said it was just the right thing to do.
The Black Panther star explained to The Hollywood Reporter:
“I felt uncomfortable in my silence, and I wanted to liberate myself from it and contribute to the discussion. That was just what I felt I needed to do, quite viscerally. I couldn’t sleep. I needed to get it out … I had to talk to her about it because it was something that we hadn’t talked about.”
We’re happy to hear the celeb feels a sense of relief since speaking her truth.
