Breaking wind: fine for airplanes, problematic for the passengers inside them.
A Transavia Airlines flight from Dubai to Amsterdam had to make an emergency landing earlier this month after a fight broke out over one passenger repeatedly lighting up the aircraft with his farts.
The February 11 incident started when two men sitting next to a very flatulent man gassed him for cutting the cheese over and over again.
After the alleged stinker didn’t stop, his neighboring travelers complained to the crew, who reportedly did nothing. Instead, the complainants were targets of a warning from the captain, who accused them of aggressive behavior and making threats.
When those who smelt it wouldn’t stop complaining about he who dealt it, a fight broke out on the plane, causing pilots to make an emergency stop in Vienna. They removed the complainants, and two women sitting in the same row, but apparently not the farting man!
The two women, who claim they were simply sitting in the same row as the men who made a stink about the stink, are now taking the Dutch budget airline to court.
As for the farting man, we assume he’s boarding his next flight, ready to test the patience of those who sit next to him.
