It seems AMC‘s infamous The Walking Dead stinginess is about to cost them yet again.
The network was already being sued by show creator Frank Darabont over allegedly scamming them out of profit sharing, and last year Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Glen Mazzara, and David Alpert joined in the suit.
Now their inability to meet the salary demands of one of their stars is going to cost them one of their most popular characters…
You Have Been Warned!
Yes, Lauren Cohan has been battling the network over her salary, and it apparently just isn’t going to happen — as she’s just signed on to a new ABC action pilot.
[Surprisingly, this is not even about parity with her male costars. They just aren’t meeting her personal number.]
Lauren has reportedly been highly in-demand this pilot season as she weighs her future in the zombie apocalypse.
In the show she finally settled on, Whiskey Cavalier, she will play a tough, cunning CIA agent in a task force with her FBI counterpart, played by Scandal hunk Scott Foley.
Um, a police procedural with a will they/won’t they dynamic? Yeah, that show is get greenlit.
Like Sonequa Martin-Green before her, it looks like Cohan was forced to choose between TWD and greener pastures, and she chose the latter.
Get it, gurl!
