And, just like that, Bachelor Winter Games has come to an end.
While we already shared with you the happy news of Benoit Beaus├â┬⌐jour-Savard and Clare Crawley‘s rekindled romance (and subsequent engagement) POST BWG, A LOT went down in the wintry spinoff’s finale. So grab some cocoa and settle in…
At the end of Tuesday’s episode, fans saw EIGHT contestants depart from the romantic dating competition. With only five couples left, we were certainly curious to learn who’d walk away the victor of this bizarre venture!
In order to further prove their love, the pairs were tasked with ice dancing for their last competition. During rehearsals, several twosomes grew closer, but it tore Jordan Mauger and Bibiana Julian apart. As the New Zealand native wanted to discuss his future with Bibiana, Arie Luyendyk Jr.‘s ex seemed less than ready to talk about life after Winter Games.
Miz Julian cried and froze up while trying to give Mauger an answer, resulting in the former expressing her desire to go home. Unsurprisingly, both contestants packed their bags and left the house.
The next day, several couples made big strides in their relationships as they headed to fantasy suites. On their date, Lesley Murphy expressed her physical concerns regarding her double mastectomy, but Dean Unglert assured her that she was strong and beautiful. And off to the fantasy suite they went!! Our fuck boy has grown up so much since his Paradise days! *Sniff*
Luke Pell and Stassi Yaramchuk had a pretty memorable dinner together, as they revealed they had real feelings for each other. The Swedish starlet even hinted that she’d be willing to relocate for Pell, as she admitted:
“If I met the love of my life, I will follow him. I want to love and be loved, until the last day that I live.”
Nonetheless, Stassi turned down Luke’s fantasy suite invitation, as she wasn’t that comfortable with it. Pell assured her it was okay, and told her they still had a future. (Thanks to World Tells All, we know that’s a total lie. Apparently, Luke ghosted Stassi HARD after BWG).
Anyhoo, the next morning, Luke and Stassi ate a romantic breakfast together (a romantic breakfast, with a side of LIES).
Courtney Dober and Lily McManus also didn’t make it to the fantasy suite, but they too had a perfect date. Not only did the duo reveal they were falling in love with each other, but Lily admitted she thought Courtney was “the one.” Awwww.
The last pair up was Ashley Iaconetti and Kevin Wendt. On their outing, the love birds discussed Ashley’s virginity once more. Through tears (because she’s still Ashley), the Bachelor nation vet explained:
“I just want girls to know that they could find somebody like you ├óΓé¼┬ª it just seems worth it.”
Boom. Cue the fantasy suite music, because that’s exactly where those two ended up.
After all of this, the pairs still had to compete in the skating competition. Although none of the duos truly impressed with their skating skills on Thursday, Ashley and Kevin were crowned the winners, walking away the victors of the whole series.
