Kevin Smith Recounts The Horror Of His Massive Heart Attack And Doctors Looking At His Dick In Emotional Hilarious Video

Kevin Smith has two great fears in life: death and people seeing his dick.

On Tuesday, the filmmaker spoke about his terrifying brush with BOTH as he recovered from the near-fatal heart attack he suffered on Sunday at a comedy club in Glendale, California.

In a poignant Facebook Live video, the 47-year-old detailed the minutes leading up to the massive “widowmaker” attack and the moments after his life was saved, admitting that he first thought the pain was due to some bad dairy.

Speaking from his room in Glendale Adventist Hospital, he shared:

“I felt a little nauseous and then I tried to lay down on the floor. I wound up getting ill, like threw up, but mostly bile, so I just thought, like, you know, I got some bad milk.”

But after he realized he was struggling to breathe, the Clerks director knew it was time to get some medical help.

When he arrived at Glendale Adventist, Smith bravely faced his two biggest fears after doctors explained they had to reach his left anterior descending (LAD) artery through his groin area:

“My biggest fear in life: Death, No. 1. No. 2: People seeing my dick… I’ve gone out of my way my whole life to not let my dick be fucking seen. Never wanted to go to a hospital or a doctor for that very reason. Don’t want to be judged, obviously small.”

Once the doctors convinced him to put his phallic fears aside (because, you know, his life was at risk), they found “that the LAD was 100 percent blocked,” he said, adding:

“[The doctor] put a stent in and, bam, here I am. Dude literally saved my life.”

Smith went on to share that his family history could have something to due with the health issue, as he lost his father to heart attack in 2003.

With this in mind, he lamented that his “lifestyle changes,” like losing “about 85 to 90 pounds” after being kicked off a Southwest flight for being overweight, might not matter after all. He postulated:

“Some shit you just can’t beat because it’s genetic.”

But some shit you CAN beat — like your lifelong fear of people seeing your dick!

Jokes aside, we’re happy the filmmaker is in good spirits and on the road to recovery.
