E! has confirmed that the longtime media personality will still host the red carpet this weekend, despite the damning allegations of sexual misconduct against him from the network’s former stylist.
Even though he was cleared of any wrongdoing, publicists are telling Page Six that they will still encourage their clients to avoid the American Idol host while doing interviews at the Academy Awards.
One PR rep explained to the outlet:
“Usually Ryan is the one you want… but there are so many outlets on that carpet. Why risk it? There’s plenty of other places for clients to get the exposure.”
We can’t say we blame them…
This is all coming to light as an anonymous witness spoke out on the Today show Wednesday morning claiming to have seen Seacrest’s inappropriate behavior toward the stylist firsthand.
The source corroborated Suzie Hardy‘s account of being groped by Seacrest, saying:
“She would go to tie his shoe and Ryan would shove her head toward his crotch. I saw that more than once.”
Adding of an instance in which Seacrest allegedly bear hugged Hardy while just wearing underwear before the Oscars Red Carpet special in 2008:
“She yelled get off of me. She was trying to get away from him. I could see an erect penis in his underwear.”
Wow. Things are not looking good for Ryan.
