As we reported earlier, the Hunger Games alum stopped by the radio icon’s SiriusXM show in order to promote her latest flick, Red Sparrow. Of course, J.Law’s interview with Stern quickly made headlines as she slammed E! and addressed whether or not she plans to chat with Ryan Seacrest at the Oscars on Sunday.
However, there was one VERY important portion of Lawrence’s interview that you may’ve missed — and it was about the Twilight saga. Oooh, go on!!
Long before Jennifer made waves as Katniss Everdeen, the 27-year-old was a contender for the part of Bella Swan in Twilight. Yes, Jennifer auditioned for the role that made Kristen Stewart a household name!!
Although, to Jennifer, the audition wasn’t that big of a deal as she didn’t anticipate the franchise blowing up as it did. She explained:
“I didn’t really know what it was. You just get like five pages [at the audition] and they’re like, ├óΓé¼╦£Act monkey.’ And when it came out I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£Hot damn. Whoa.'”
And while Jennifer would go on to find mainstream success in other franchises, at the time, she had no hard feelings about missing out on the part. The A-lister continued:
“I had such a solid indie career at that point so I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£This is perfect. I get to act and I’m not that famous.'”
LOLz! Well, look at her now!!
When the time came for Jennifer to star in her own action-packed fantasy series, she faced fears of being type cast. Lawrence admitted to Stern:
“I mean, I knew it was going to be a life-changer, I knew. And then the other fear was only being that character.”
Jennifer is certainly a lot more than just the actress who played Katniss!! Be sure to ch-ch-check out her FULL interview for yourself HERE!
