Losing someone is a life changing experience unlike any other.
So it’s unsurprising to learn that Kristin Cavallari‘s devastating loss of her brother, Michael, has had a lasting impact on her. On Thursday, The Hills alum opened up about how Michael’s tragic death changed the way she parents her children, Camden (5), Jaxon (3), and Saylor (2).
“It made me realize how important it is to really be present, especially with my family, with my kids. You never know what is going to happen. So I’ve just tried to live in the moment.”
Very fair. In case you forgot, back in 2015, Kristin’s flesh-and-blood was found deceased in Grand City, Utah. The sad discovery came three days after he was reported as missing. Michael was only 30 at the time of his death.
Kristin’s late brother has been coming up quite a bit lately, as the blonde mother of three recently sat down for a reading with medium Tyler Henry. During the session, the 22-year-old clairvoyant suggested that Michael “didn’t intend to end his life.”
Jay Cutler‘s wife certainly took a lot away from the reading. Not only did she call Tyler “the real deal,” but she also added:
“He said some stuff, that there’s just no way he would know he he to been able to talk to my brother. And so I found a lot of peace in it. I think that stuff is really cool and I’m a huge believer.”
Sadly, not all of the Cavallaris found peace from the session with Henry. Apparently, for dad Dennis Cavallari, the meeting “kind of set him back a little bit.” We bet.
Nonetheless, we hope Kristin and her family have been able to achieve some sort of closure regarding Michael’s passing.
