Open to the public… sort of!

On Friday, Kensington Palace announced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to expand their royal wedding guest list to include more “members of the public.” Awwwww.

In a new statement, the palace revealed that the love birds have “invited 2,640 people into the grounds of Windsor Castle to watch the arrivals of the Bride and Groom.” Representatives explained:

“Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle have said they want their Wedding Day to be shaped so as to allow members of the public to feel part of the celebrations too. This wedding, like all weddings, will be a moment of fun and joy that will reflect the characters and values of the Bride and Groom.”

We just couldn’t love them more. Previously, the engaged twosome had invited the public to watch them as they embarked on a carriage ride through the streets of Windsor. And in case you forgot, Harry and Meghan are exchanging their vows on May 19 at Windsor Castle’s St. George’s Chapel.

The announcement continued:

“In addition to the Carriage Procession in Windsor, they have today shared some further details of how the public will be involved on May 19th. Prince Harry and Ms. Markle have invited 2,640 people into the grounds of Windsor Castle to watch the arrivals of the Bride and Groom, and their wedding guests, at the chapel and to watch the carriage procession as it departs from the castle.”

How great!

Those who’ve been invited to watch the arrival and departure of the wedding party include 1,200 U.K. guests nominated by nine offices of the Lord Lieutenants, 610 Windsor Castle community members, 530 members from the Royal household, 200 of Harry and Meghan’s peers from charities they’re associated with, and 100 pupils from two local schools.

Now THAT’S a guest list!!

We honestly couldn’t be more excited for this royal wedding! Let the countdown begin…
