The Charmed Ones have arrived!
The CW has finally unveiled the three witch sisters for its Charmed reboot, and fans of the original series will likely be spellbound by this casting!
Madeleine Mantock (above, right) will play the eldest sister Macy, a geneticist who is described as practical, driven, and brilliant — therefore, completely shocked by the discovery that she’s a witch. You might recognize the actress from The Tomorrow People or Edge of Tomorrow.
Melonie Diaz (above, middle) will be playing Mel, an outspoken activist who strays off path after the death of her mother. She has appeared in shows like Girls and Elementary; she also had a big role Fruitvale Station.
Sarah Jeffery (above, left) is to play the youngest sister, Madison, a bubbly college freshman whose goal of being in a sorority might be sidelined by her destiny of witchcraft. The actress is best known for Shades of Blue and Disney Channel‘s Descendants.
Additional cast members include Rupert Evans, who plays Harry, a “handsome, grandiose” professor with a mysterious interest in the three sisters — which has caused many to speculate he’s a Whitelighter, assigned to protect the sisters.
Ser’Darius Blain will play Galvin, Macy’s perfect boyfriend — a funny aspiring filmmaker who’s in touch with his emotions and supportive of her goals. Sounds like the most mythical creature of them all!
As we reported, the show has been described as “fierce, funny, and feminist” (a description that hasn’t sat well with the OG cast) and comes from Jane the Virgin exec producer Jennie Urman.
Are YOU enchanted by the cast so far?
