Snapchat Uses Chris Brown’s Fists Of Fury To Advertise Its Fun New Game!

Yes, people are still making off-beat references to that Rihanna and Chris Brown mess almost a decade later.

By “people,” we mean genius programmers at Snapchat who thought it would be winky and fun to make light of domestic violence to advertise a new game!

In an advert for a game called “Would You Rather,” the app asked US users to select a choice between slapping RiRi and punching Breezy.

This naturally pissed some users off, due to the fact that Brown was convicted for assaulting Rihanna in his car in 2009 while the duo were dating:

Hmm├óΓé¼┬ª we don’t know about “tone deaf,” this seems intentionally controversial to spark buzz about the game.

JK, respectable companies would never use your precious outrage for marketing purposes!

The social app was quick to issue an apology, telling the BBC:

“The advert was reviewed and approved in error, as it violates our advertising guidelines. We immediately removed the ad last weekend, once we became aware├óΓé¼┬ª We are sorry that this happened.”

But probably not as sorry you now know about their fun new game, Would You Rather — ready to play on Snapchat now!
