Talk about a close call.
It’s recently been revealed that, last week, a helicopter carrying First Daughter Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner was forced to return to Washington D.C. as one of its two engines failed while en route to New York. Yikes.
Per CNN, the powerhouse couple made an unscheduled return to Ronald Reagan National Airport on Thursday afternoon due to the helicopter’s malfunction. Rather than stay in D.C., the Kushners remained committed to their Big Apple trip and took a commercial flight instead. That must’ve been their own personal circle of hell…
A law enforcement source revealed that Jared and Ivanka weren’t the only passengers onboard, as the flight also reportedly carried a member of the twosome’s security detail. The faulty aircraft was a Sikorsky helicopter owned by the Trump Organization. It’s currently unclear why Jared and Ivanka were traveling via a helicopter over an airplane.
Perhaps the pair were trying to make a quiet trip to New York in order to visit with Ivanka’s soon-to-be divorced brother, Donald Trump Jr.?? Not to mention, the Kushners lived and worked in the city for years, so they could have a plethora of reasons for traveling there.
Regardless, for the sake of their children, we’re glad this scare in the air didn’t result in any injuries.
