That didn’t go over well.
As you hopefully know, April Fools was on Sunday — and many celebrities attempted to prank their fans with tricks of their own!
However, Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham‘s idea offended some as they pretended to be pregnant as a joke. That’s a pretty classic prank, but many are calling out The Bachelor couple for being insensitive to those who are having trouble getting preggo.
The former race car driver posted:
And then an hour later, he shared:

Needless to say, people were not amused:
Love you guys but hopefully this isn’t a joke. A lot of people struggle with getting pregnant or loosing babies and that would be F’ed up and selfish. Just an odd day to share it is all. Hopefully a congrats will be in order. 💛

come on. be better than that. it’s not a joke for many struggling families to get pregnant, it’s extremely expensive and it’s heartbreaking. I wish nothing but the best for Arie and Lauren but this is not funny, it’s cruel

1 in 8 women struggle infertility. I really and truly hope that if this is a joke, when you do try to conceive you aren’t met with the harsh reality that so many face.

This just in: If Arie and Lauren weren’t already the most hated couple in bachelor history, they certainly are now! Come on dude, do you live under a rock?! pic.twitter.com/uanOHKdTKU

Elon was found passed out against a Tesla Model 3, surrounded by “Teslaquilla” bottles, the tracks of dried tears still visible on his cheeks.
This is not a forward-looking statement, because, obviously, what’s the point?
