At the time, a psychiatric evaluation was done, and resulted in Troyer being sent to a local hospital. Once at the hospital, Verne was put on a 5150 hold, which is often implemented when the patient is deemed “a danger to themselves or others.”

Per The Blast, the Los Angeles City Fire Department said the troubling call was over a “poisoning.” However, the officials would not confirm if the incident was alcohol related. As you surely know, the 49-year-old actor has struggled with alcohol abuse and has had multiple stints in rehab.

TMZ police sources did share that he seemed extremely upset, drunk and suicidal.

Verne’s team have since confirmed the hospital stay, as they took to his Instagram and shared:

We’re wishing Verne only the best during this tough time. Stay strong, man!
