The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has rejected all five cases against director/screenwriter James Toback.

As we reported in January, the LAPD and the Beverly Hills Police Department submitted a total of five reports against the filmmaker, dating as far back as 1978.

In three of the alleged incidents, Toback allegedly rubbed up against the women and masturbated. In another incident (the one from 1978), he allegedly pushed a woman against a wall and asked her to have sex. After she refused, he exposed himself while driving home.

Additionally, in 1980, the Bugsy writer allegedly groped a woman while trying to get her to have intercourse.

According to TMZ, most of the cases fell outside the statute of limitations.

In a 2008 masturbation incident, the alleged victim stopped cooperating with detectives and did not agree to an interview with prosecutors. If the woman ends up complying with authorities, the D.A. might consider reopening the case.

Toback has denied the allegations.
