Jimmy Kimmel Apologizes For ‘Harmful’ Jokes He Tweeted During Sean Hannity Feud

When they go low, Jimmy Kimmel apologizes through his teeth.

The late night host took to Twitter on Sunday to apologize for some of the jokes he made during his public feud with Fox News host Sean Hannity.

In case you missed it, the two TV hosts got down and dirty on Twitter last week, with Hannity calling Kimmel a “pervert” and “Harvey Weinstein Jr” over his past sexist gags on The Man Show and a “bully” for recently making fun of Melania Trump‘s accent.

The two also exchanged nasty blows about each other’s ratings, to which Kimmel told Hannity to “just keep tweeting – you’ll get back on top! (Or does Trump prefer you on bottom?)” — which sparked quite a few accusations of homophobia.

After thinking about his words over the weekend, Kimmel admitted that while he enjoyed the digital sparring, he may have taken it too far with the “bottom” joke. He apologized for that and, so Hannity had no excuse to keep bothering him, for making a “harmless and silly aside referencing our First Lady’s accent.”

Kimmel’s statement ended with a sarcastic af note to Hannity and his “newly-found advocacy for women,” so we doubt this feud will be over anytime soon. Ch-ch-check out his full apology (below):

Hannity said on Twitter he would give a “full and comprehensive response” to Kimmel’s statement on Hannity on Monday. Can’t wait.
