Carrie Underwood is getting back in action.
In her first interview since her freak accident, the 35-year-old songbird went on the Bobby Bones Show to discuss her return to music. If you don’t remember, she broke her wrist and needed over 40 facial stitches following a dangerous tumble in front of her Nashville home in November.
To us, it seemed like the Cry Pretty singer still felt a little uncomfortable discussing her fall and scars (understandably), but she did give some insight into what happened:
“I was taking out the dogs to go pee-pee one last time. I didn’t let go of the leashes. Priorities! So that’s why my left hand’s fine. I reached to catch myself and I just missed a step. ├óΓé¼┬ª If I had fallen anywhere else, I would’ve been perfectly fine.”
As for the scarring around her mouth and nose, she said:
“I’ve been very fortunate in the healing process. I was at a point where I didn’t know how things were gonna end up. I didn’t know what it was gonna heal like. ├óΓé¼┬ª I was worried [my son] might be scared of me. But now if I put makeup on, he’s like, ‘Mommy, your boo-boo’s all gone.'”
