So, this is what it’s come to? Victims having to undergo covert operations to catch predators in the act?
A Louisiana doctor was arrested for allegedly fondling a patient’s breasts and genitals during a consultation after the woman secretly set up a camera to record their appointment.
According to local reports, Dr. James Dyess (above) was charged with two felony counts of sexual battery and one misdemeanor count of simple battery on Thursday.
Police in Grenta, where Dyess’ office is located, became aware of the alleged abuse when a 35-year-old patient showed them a video she had covertly recorded after suspecting the physician was being sexually inappropriate with her.
The woman told authorities she set up a hidden camera because she believed Dyess had made sexual advances during a previous consultation and had touched her inappropriately.
During their second consultation, the woman, who says she was referred to Dyess by her attorney after she hurt her back in a car accident, reportedly propped up her phone in her purse and allegedly recorded Dyess fondling her breasts and genitals.
He was released later that day on $20,500 bond. It’s unclear whether he has entered a plea.
