If you’ve been keeping up with the many, many Donald Trump scandals, you know about the raid on his lawyer Michael Cohen‘s office, home, and even hotel room.
The Southern District of New York had reason to believe Cohen would destroy evidence in his ongoing criminal investigation.
According to sources who know the way Cohen works (who is apparently self-described as Ray Donovan-esque?), that evidence was going to be audio recordings of his phone calls with his clients.
And his only clients are apparently Trump and Sean Hannity.
Trump’s new lawyer Rudy Giuliani actually CONFIRMED the tape, saying:
“Nothing in that conversation suggests that he had any knowledge of it in advance.”
Giuliani went on to say the tape contains Trump telling Cohen to pay her with a check instead of cash so it could be documented, though he says the payment was never made.
Um, what?? How is that not IN ADVANCE??
As you may recall, McDougal revealed in an interview earlier this year that she and the future POTUS had a months long affair while Melania was home with their newborn son.
She also won her lawsuit against the National Enquirer, which is owned by a friend of Trump, who bought and buried her story.
