It all started after Grande revealed the track list for her new album on Thursday, revealing it includes a song titled Pete… which got MANY people talking.
Well, one fan commented on IG that it may not be smart to name a song on the album after the Saturday Night Live star, considering they’ve only been together a short while.
Ariana took the bait, and clapped back (below):

“He’s my fiancé. This is my album. I’m an honest and emotional artist and human being and if my openness in my work isn’t for you, that’s OK; I won’t be offended. Still wishing y’all all the love in the world.”

Awww!!!
Now that’s sweet to defend Pete — and very PC of Ariana not to be too rude! LOLz!!

After another user expressed support over naming the song after Pete, Ariana responded there, too (below):

“Thanks. It’s a special song about the most special human being I’ve ever met. Also, the song is sick. Thanks for your kindness.”

Oh! Well if the song is sick, then we REALLY can’t wait to hear it! Ha!!
Sweetener drops worldwide on August 17…
Get ready!!
