No, Cameron Diaz Isn't Retired From Acting!

It was widely reported on Monday that we’ve seen the last of Cameron Diaz on the big screen. Sad face.
Apparently we weren’t alone in wondering, considering she hasn’t signed on to a film since 2014, when she was in Annie, Sex Tape, and The Other Woman.

When Selma Blair was asked about her The Sweetest Thing costar, her comments to Metro really caught fire. She said:

“I had lunch with Cameron the other day. We were reminiscing about the film. I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron’s retired from acting. She’s like ├óΓé¼╦£I’m done.’
I mean, she doesn’t need to make any more films. She has a pretty great life, I don’t know what it would take to bring her back. She’s happy.”

But after everyone took her word as gospel, Selma quickly clarified she was NOT revealing anything official on Cameron’s behalf! She tweeted:

She just got a foot stuck in her mouth, that’s all! (Wink to all the Sweetest Thing fans! Ha!)
Cameron herself said last year she was more taking a break to find herself, something we totally understand…
Though we would really love to see her again — wouldn’t you???
