It’s no secret the Broadway hit Hamilton has captured everyone’s attention.

Not only has did the cast of Hamilton perform at the Grammys AND the White House, but it won a freaking Pulitzer Prize already!

Well now Lin Manuel-Miranda‘s production has done it again as the 70th annual Tony Awards announced their nominees this morning and Hamilton set a new record with 16 nominations!

The former record holders were The Producers and Billy Elliot, which were tied with 15.

The awards were announced by The Book of Mormon alums Nikki M. James and Andrew Rannells, with other notable nominees including Steve Martin, Jessica Lange, and Lupita Nyong’o!

So the actor was understandably not looking forward to pretending to be interested in talking to Jimmy Fallon for the umpteenth time when he stopped by Monday’s show!

In fact, the 70-year-old was dreading the interview so much, he performed an entire musical number to lament how he didn’t want to do the show because he had no material left! LOLz!

The comedic legend surprised the audience at New York’s Beacon Theatre on Thursday when he served as the warm-up act for Jerry Seinfeld‘s new monthly show!

Though his set was short, it was also historic — because it marked Martin’s first time performing standup in 35 years!

The funnyman’s last standup performance was back in 1981, when he walked away from the mic despite being one of the top stand up comedians in the country.

On Monday, Glenn Frey of The Eagles died at 67, after suffering from intestinal issues for a few months. And we weren’t the only ones rocked by his tragic passing.

Plenty of celebrities flocked to social media, posting touching tributes to the band’s co-founder on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

What an amazing send off!

David Letterman has been a staple of late night TV ever since he took the desk back in 1993, and now he’s being honored in the best way possible.

For Dave’s final episode on CBS, we got to see the best bits of his 22 years as host, including an excellent opening monologue and some of his most famous interviews.

But not only was the episode about remembering his best moments, it was also about creating some memorable TV!
