Jude Law Teases How Dumbledore's Sexuality Will Be Explored In Future Fantastic Beasts Films!

We know, we know. You’ve been thirsty for a gay Dumbledore scene since 2007.
And even thirstier since you learned Jude Law would be playing a younger, more virile version of the character in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Although director David Yates revealed earlier this year that the wizard’s sexuality would not be “explicitly” explored in the next film, the actor who plays him says fans won’t be disappointed as the series continues.
In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Law hinted that Dumbledore’s love life will be divulged in future installations — but The Crimes of Grindelwald will focus on the other fantastic parts of the character.
He explained:

“Jo Rowling revealed some years back that Dumbledore was gay. That was a question I actually asked Jo and she said, ‘Yes, he’s gay.’ But as with humans, your sexuality doesn’t necessarily define you. He’s multifaceted.”

Like any good wizard, he’s saving labels for the potion bottles.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Dumbledore’s “intense relationship” with Grindelwald (played in the movie by Johnny Depp) won’t be addressed later down the line.
Teasing what’s to come for his character’s love life, Law continued:

“I suppose the question is: How is Dumbledore’s sexuality depicted in this film? What you got to remember this is only the second Fantastic Beasts film in a series, and what’s brilliant about Jo’s writing is how she reveals her characters, peels them to the heart over time. You’re just getting to know Albus in this film, and there’s obviously a lot more to come. We learn a little about his past in the beginning of this film, and characters and their relationships will unfold naturally, which I’m excited to reveal. But we’re not going to reveal everything all at once.”

Inneresting…
It sounds like the films will explore to Dumbledore and Grinelwald’s special relationship in some capacity… eventually.
The question is, will it be a winking reference to the past or will we actually get to see a gratuitously gay wand fight play out on screen?
