Despite Jersey Shore‘s less than stellar reputation in the eyes of some Italian organizations, according to a new poll done at Fairleigh Dickinson University, the reality series is actually NOT hurting its home state’s image – and might actually be bringing positive attention to it!
Peter Woolley, who directed the poll, revealed today that 43% of those who have seen the show have a high opinion of the garden state, and 41% who haven’t still do, as well.
He explains:
“The show isn’t hurting the nation’s view of the state. In fact, it may be promoting one of the state’s best features — not Snooki, but the shore itself. It seems to me viewers are looking past The Situation to the shore scene itself.”
Ha!
Well, you heard it here, first, folks!
Jersey Shore is actually good for the state of New Jersey! LOLz!
We always knew that there was a reason we were pro-Snooki!
