Kate Spade has been found dead on Tuesday at the age of 55.
According to TMZ, law enforcement sources say she was found in her New York apartment by a housekeeper at 10:30 a.m. EST, having reportedly hanged herself. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and it’s said she left a note.

As you know, she and Andy Spade started Kate Spade Handbags in 1993, and grew it into a clothing and jewelry line. The couple later married and share one daughter, Frances Beatrix.
