Brad Pitt and ex-wife Jennifer Aniston both had films come out on Christmas Day, and it’s Man that came out on top. Sorta.
Marley And Me took in $14.6M on Thursday, while The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button made $11.8M.
However, Man’s film was shown on 3,480 screens, as opposed to Brad’s 2,988 venues screens. So, mathematically, the box office is tipped in Aniston’s favor.
Plus, Benjamin Button is A LOT longer than Marley, so there are less screenings of Brad’s film.
The true test will be the staying power of the film.
And, heck, Brad’s already gotten a bunch of nominations for his work in the movie.
Man will likely get….a People’s Choice Award????
Oh, yeah, Tom Cruise‘s Valkyrie is a dud.
